    I am told to the two on the actual quays themselves are Scherzer Rolling lift bascule bridges and the one on Sheriff Street.

    The other bridge - "Spenser bridge" over Sheriff Street is apparently inoperable and is a balance beam bascule bridge. As per the below article it is due a renovation in the near future.

    They've made plans to build this a few times but came unstuck due to a plot of land being held in case Dart Underground is going to be built. They wanted to build it from Park Lane across to Forbes Street but were refused because the Europcar site is the proposed location for the station. Then they tried to build it from New Wapping Street across to Blood Stoney Road but were refused because the first option was the better place to put the bridge, even though they refused that place already!

    Flyefit have said they are opening a new gym in 2020 date to be confirmed maybe the point square is there new location as planning permission went up during the summer in the massive unit for a gym but no work has begun yet so keep any eye on that unit over the next few months

    One on Macken St & one in CHQ, probably not going to open another one up so close but maybe they will.

    Doesn't seem to be any other applications I can see except the one for Cross fit and then a more general one from the Receivers back in June 2019 which states

    "the proposed leisure operator is subject to a final letting but it is considered that would form a typical leisure offering such as bowling, indoor mini-golf, VR gaming, gym etc"

    This is on the corner facing the Dublin Port building offices on the 1st floor amalgamating a few different units

    On the commercial lease register the only people who have signed up are crossfit into that ground floor unit 24 for €67,000 according the the commercial lease register

    The new flyefit gym will be located beside the luas stop just inside the entrance to the jervis shopping centre as the wall where the atm is just before you go up the escalator has been adjusted with a temporary wall

    The apartments have been designed to cater for the upper end of the residential rental market, and will include a hotel-style lobby reception with concierge desk manned on a 24/7 basis, an electric car share club, a rooftop residents’ lounge and garden with fitted barbeque facilities, a penthouse residents’ gym, private dining spaces and a multimedia room.

    Urban campus
    Upon completion, the residential units will account for 370,354sq ft (34,707sq m) of the 717,000sq ft (66,599sq m) of space RGRE is set to deliver as part of its wider mixed-use scheme at Spencer Place. The balance of the development will accommodate Salesforce’s new urban campus, and a new hotel operated by Dalata which will be known as the Samuel.

    RGRE and its partners, Colony Capital, are in the process of selecting a buyer for the Spencer Place residential scheme, having invited a number of institutional investors to acquire the portfolio by way of a forward-funding deal at a guide price in excess of €250 million.

    Welcoming An Bord Pleanála’s approval of its application for the additional residential units at Spencer Place, a spokesman for RGRE said: “This is an example of the progressive approach to planning and land use we have been advocating for in Dublin and which we have consistently urged Dublin City

    Taller structures
    In a separate, albeit related, development, RGRE is in the process of seeking permission from Dublin City Council to increase the height of Salesforce’s new European headquarter office building at the front of the site from nine to 13 storeys.

    Having rejected the developer’s two previous efforts to raise the block’s height from nine to 11 floors, the council subsequently conducted a review of building heights in the North Lotts and Grand Canal Dock Strategic Development Zone (SDZ). Following this, it submitted a proposal to An Bord Pleanála on May 31st last, recommending that structures of up to 13 storeys be permitted in the area to the front of the Salesforce campus site at Spencer Place. The board has yet to reach a determination on the matter.

    The replacement for bedsits, but nobody prices them as such - they're actually usually priced premium!

    Sub hotel room sized room, usually a single, with tiny ensuite and possibly tiny cooking facilities; then there'll be larger shared laundries/kitchens/dining rooms/living rooms and in many of the bigger ones a basic gym.

    You can stay in your cell room if you want or treat it more like college accom and socialise / used the shared facilities. Usually extremely flexible terms which is possibly the only advantage.
