    I have a lot of time and respect for the trans community but I think she's taking the piss. Maybe she has a legitimate complaint this time but I don't care anymore. Yaniv might not deserve any respect, but there are probably better ways (i.e. more respectful towards trans people in general) of addressing that than pointedly referring to her as 'he' (or, as we've seen on this thread, contradicting people who refer to her as 'she').

    I feel that referring to a man as she/her just because he demands to be referred to as such is disrespectful to my 54 years lived experience as a woman. So where does my entitlement to respect rank against his?

    If a man wants to be a woman, more power to him.

    If he wants me to call him a woman, I might do that.

    If he EXPECTS me to call him a woman, I won't.

    There needs to be a clear distinction between the gender a person identifies as and is legally allowed to have recognised and their biological sex.

    The two are quite distinct.
    I think there should be two designations. One legal and one biological.
