Cost of Luas Park N Ride goes up by 50%

Does anyone know if there were any public announcements regarding this. My monthly fare increased by exactly 50% as did the daily and yearly rate for luas park and ride. Seems like an enormous amount and i'm surprised that i didn't see it in the news or media in general.
