Freesat box - no signal

    Hi,

Got a walker freesat saorview combo box yesterday.
Did a scan for freesat channels, transponder/all setup correct and no signal.
Have a SAB Titan 4 box and freesat displays no problem.

Frequency set ok, polarization transponder set ok.
Am I doing something wrong or return to shop?

    Any suggestions on some troubleshooting.

Is the dish new too? Or did the dish deliver signal before? Did you run signal test? Everything wired ok?

From experience it is always possible the box is a dud, but more likely it is something with the setup. These yokes are nothing special anymore, for a long time. They typically just work.

Swapped out the Titan box - All channels there.
Swapped back the Walker box and nothing. no signal
Re did one time install a few times with country set to uk and Ireland and no joy.
The saorview works but the freesat on the box doesn't work. Wondering could it be the tuner is dead but on a new box am sceptical. Back to the shop so.

Post a few pictures of cable set up and back of both boxes

Just as a last try I set the terrestrial search to off and satellite to on for search with country to UK and ran a scan.
Now all channels picked up. Very odd. Didn't like it with the country set to Ireland and both terrestrial and satellite turned on for scan.
Anyways, working now. Thanks for the help guys.

I suppose I didn't actually say anything helpful but I'm glad you figured it out.

More likely something with the setup and a fresh head was the incentive to try again 😀
