So ten league games, no transfer window this time for Quique. Ridiculous owners.

First thing any manager going in there should want to know - how much is the pay off if they sack me?

    Barcelona I reckon

Due to his Espanyol links he said he never would. I know Mourinho said the same in the past but Spurs grew as a club since then (became a better option) and Jose's options in England lessened by far.

Either Poch will just take some time off and enjoy himself till the summer when he could take something like the United job or maybe he will head to Madrid if something happens to Zidane before then. That is unless Munich start chasing him but I think they want a German speaker.

I wonder is that payoff clause only for PL teams? Wasn't Alderwield clause only kicking in for certain teams in a certain timeframe? Could be similar for Poch.

I think Bayern is his destination myself. Will give him a few months to rest, recover and learn German. Like they did with Pep.

Also I think Poch is likeable and there is something about Real Madrid as a club that is not likeable but Bayern are likeable so there is something to that side too.

I see Chris Hughton tipped to take over Watford, decent move for him!

First thing negotiated I'd say in a kit of deals, well maybe after/alongside the annual salary.
Strange appointment though. I always had Watford as a well run club, good scouting network and transfer policy, and while they changed coaches pretty often, it generally worked out fon them. The return to Quiche Flores was a strange move at the time, a backward step, and never likely to work out.
Can't really see Houghton getting Watford, likely another Spaniard or continental coach I'd say.

Watford have had more managers than wins this season

Silva will surely be given his marching orders this evening.

Bad move for him. I think they'll go down this season.

Everton have a decent record at Leicester, I believe. Even if they lose, I can't see any value in sacking him for the moment. They've Liverpool away next Wednesday, which they will lose, with or without Silva. Sacking him before the Chelsea home game, might give the players a bit of a lift.

We won 2 of the last 4 away.

Can't see us getting anything today. Vardy will run amok. Leicester only drew 1 game at home this season on the opening day against Wolves.

    Freddie out.

    Pukki did well there.

    Penalty to Arsenal. VAR check

    Penalty given.

    Kurl saves.

    VAR check

    Retake for encroachment

    Goal this time.

VAR is hilarious when it's not your team. Krul off his line as well as encroachment.

Agree with you but I have a sneaky feeling you might get something. If you push up the field they'll murder you with their pace, something you've a lack of. I've a red mate who is convinced, doing my head in, that you are going to get something at Anfield.
    Freddie out.

    Pukki did well there.

Probably for the best if he doesn't put some wins together. They'll end up making the same mistake as Man United did with Ole. Norwich should be looking to take all the points here.

    Crazy stuff from Norwich players

They should be docked wages for such stupidity, you don’t get away with that under VAR everybody should know that by now

An arsenal player encroached too, is it just the first encroachment that gets pinged ?

    God only knows with VAR.

VAR really is bringing Futurama to football.

Would love to watch every penalty on any given weekend, I bet there'd be encroachment of some kind in each one. They tend to give it when it's blatantly good bit inside the box, but that isn't the rule.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,956 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

A completely needless 1000 % handball then encroachment on mass after the save... suicide. Really stupid naive shîtty amateurish, petulant play by Norwich... I’m throwing more then cups at half time if I’m their manager.

    Hang on...criteria for VAR

    Goal scored?
    Red Card?
    Penalty?

Does encroachment fall under Peno decision so asking for a friend.

Mustafi is so f**king sh!t he is like a piss take. What was that attempt of a tackle.

Arsenals defence has to be the worst I've ever seen from an Arsenal side.

    No leadership at the back.

Looking back at VAR again there could be an argument that it should have been a free out... there was a push from Luiz on the defender who handled...he pushed his stomach setting him off balance.
