Saturdays bet - Something Lucky - drifted to a 20/1 SP but ran very well , beaten a head in a decent time . I had 3 or 4 dangers in the race but the winner wasn’t one of them .

Today’s bets both have been well backed this morning .

Rivas Rob Roy is dodgy but looked a bit overpriced at 25’s based on a few AW runs earlier in the year , notably a nose 2nd on his last Tapeta run off 6lbs higher . Viola Park was 3rd that day beaten 2.5L off level weights and he’s a solid yardstick for this grade . Won next time out and twice again recently , now rated 60 .
Rivas Rob Roy was staying on over 7F and gets a mile today , off 48 . Drawn 14 , he’ll probably want to be no further back than midfield but those near him look likely to be held up so hopefully gets a decent position and settles .
    25/1 into 14/1 ish .

Hackle Setter is another AW maiden but ran ok on his last spin at Kempton over a furlong shorter . Staying on in 5th that day , the 4th and 3rd have won since , he’s 10lbs lighter now and has a decent draw . Really rate Jason Watson and he’s back up for the first time since then .
    9/1 into 11/2 ish .

No , not a reincarnation of the dearly departed MH!

(And not related to any breed of Goat either ...!!)

More or less the same idea as MH’s thread I suppose , just going to track my AW bets on here for a bit . Bar Cheltenham , the vast majority of my bets are on the flat so my focus for the next while is the All Weather .

I’ll do my best to get them posted as early as possibly and keep a running total for anyone interested .

Vast majority will be double figure odds , nothing less than 7/1 so losing runs are common place . No point mentioning previous stats / profits etc but I did a good stint on a different forum a couple of years ago and am currently proofing my bets elsewhere too .

Been a long time reader of this forum but never got involved before , as good a time as any to start now given there seems to be a bit of a drop off from previously regular posters .

Added to that , I’m finding it hard to warm to the NH game for the past couple of years (apart from the festival) and this forum now seems more geared up for jumps than the flat .

Sorry this isn’t the right thread for this but the title got me thinking again,

Mostly Harmless use to run an all weather thread & his selections were phenomenal, one of the best I’ve seen over such a long period.

Did Mostly Harmless pass away? Anyone any insights to circumstances?

MH is still here believe me, under many different alias. I'm not saying the OP is MH. He was bickering with many members and just said he was leaving and closed up. I was told he was getting his tips from paid subs from guys specialising in big prices and posting them here, I told him so.

He's still here, if people ask him he might start it up again.

You are the biggest gob shaight ever to get hold of an internet connection

MH challenged you to a comp, you squirmed away like the bull****ter you are, he opened a thread and posted a healthy profit. You on the other hand keep posting muck on a daily basis under the goat, the Irish goat and now son of goat god knows how many other Re regs.

Do everyone a favor and fook off like a good lad.

You're renowned for posting your ****e talk in the early hours. Harmless did know a bit about racing, unlike you who know's absolutely nothing. You have thousands of posts of gibberish nonsense that only makes sense to you. No doubt your still in bed, you'll wake up and search around for a few butts to smoke and see if you have any odds for a lucky 15. Stay in bed son.

The state of you. Every time you're called out you go searching people's post history and then come back with "stick to posting in the xxxxx forum". You are a waste of a login.

I’m not sure why I bother but the world has time zones. Now, I can understand how someone conceived in a field from a limited gene pool might find that hard to grasp but let’s say you’re idea of early hours is early evening for me.

Enjoy your fag butts, lucky 15’s and goats :)

That fridtjof nansen is a frustrating horse, should go really well tonight from his draw

  • Registered Users Posts: 518 ✭✭✭MaxBet

Hopefully . Might be high enough in the ratings but he’s unexposed on the all weather and his pedigree suggests he should be capable on it . A nk 2nd on his only other AW run , in a decent time and McDonagh takes over now .... might not be the smoothest jockey in the world but he’s strong enough if he’s involved in a finish

Back tomorrow night for Monday’s AW racing . 10 meetings this week so hopefully there’s opportunities to get that P&L looking a bit better ...

  • Registered Users Posts: 518 ✭✭✭MaxBet

Neither of these are going to be full bets tomorrow, Moonraker due to the price and No Can Do due to the make up of the race . Both will get a few bob for interest though .

Moonraker 5/1 (5.15 , Southwell ) has ticks in a lot of boxes tomorrow .... grade , track , trip and mark. Sire has a decent record at Southwell .

No Can Do 11/1 (1.20 , Wolverhampton ) should do better now in a nursery and Toronado is a profitable AW sire , with a very good record at Wolverhampton .
