I'd be curious when those quotes were posted. Matip was not that good for a while. His rise as "best defender at the club" came after Virgil steadied the defence along with Alisson. Some of those snippets were clearly posted heat of the moment in a match thread, so I'm not sure you can read that much into them.

I think they're all Shamrock quotes. He's very quick to put our players down and has said similar about FSG in the past.
