Hi - I'm trying to find out where to get the rubber strips that fit between the glass and the frame of my windows. This is the bit that you take out to remove the double glazing panel.
Painters decided to paint over them even though they knew we were changing the glass! So they need to be replaced.
I rang a few places but was told I'd need to contact the original suppliers - I have no idea who that would be. There is surely a generic part available?
What's the correct name for this and where would I get it please?

There's a company off longmile road called national seal systems. Try them but you'd need a sample of it taken off one of the windows.

Outside of that eBay Window gasket you'll find lots

Lidl are current selling them in the middle aisles, I saw some there last Thursday. Though you would have to cut off a strip and bring it with you to compare as there are a few different types.

Thanks for replying but I'm sure those 'bubble' type seals replace the gasket around the part of the window that opens.
I'm talking about the rubber that you take out if you were replacing the double glazing panels.

To add to my confusion I found exactly what I wanted on screwfix but if you look at the two pictures it looks like two different products!?

Just found a good guide here
It's called the Interior Wedge Gasket.

I know what you were looking for and I replied with that in mind.
