Some routers have print server build in, refer to your router manual

However, M401n should have Ethernet. You might have M401a or M401d

Providing its F2000, its supportedSorry lads. I was following the duplicate thread so did not see these replies.
It's the m401d printer that I have,theres definitely no ethernet port.
I have an eir router and there is a usb port.
is that worth a try?

Tonight I'm going to move the printer next to router and plug the printer cable into the usb on the router. Do I just use a laptop to find the printer on the network or am I missing some steps.
