What’s the point of these games then?

Whats the point of any pre-season game? Physical tune-up, and that'll continue through against the minnows

Beautiful pass from Sexton - would like to see it again

This is some improvement from 2 weeks ago in Twickenham. Fair play to all.

    We're playing a different sport.

Our back row of Conan, VDF and Stander looks good

Who might have said that I wonder :-)

Healy has been Ireland’s best prop, and after James Ryan Ireland’s best forward, for the last year.

Kilcoyne has had a great year and has looked like a man possessed in these last two games, but Healy is at the top level of front-rows and he’s shown plenty of that.

Which is fine, but he has looked very quiet today. He went off for a HIA so will be interesting to see when that happened because if you were picking a starting prop based on today’s game - which isn’t what happens - then Kilcoyne is starting.

This is Standers best performance for Ireland in ages. Problem is it's in PoM's preferred position and he's our best lineout operator.

    Decisions decisions.

I feel like this is our best back row that we can field atm

    That's nice work from Ryan.

"This is Standers best performance for Ireland..."

    At 6, he's brilliant.

Earl's back on the sideline with an ice pack on his left knee. Looks not too bad.

Think it’s mad that they have left Ryan on. Surely just flog the **** out of Kleyn.
Ryan looks immense. Kleyn looks slow and sluggish

VdF off. He's in good form for the Scotland game.

Reading a lot into it but the consoling of Earls on the bench by Healy and Best didn't look promising.

    That was a mile forward

    Game time in the legs

Obviously joe is using these games to determine who goes and who is first team or not.

I don’t like the look on Earls’ face there.

Where to fit a second lineout jumper in or continue with this pack, who have done really well.. The big conundrum.

Ireland have 85% territory & 79% possession in this half of the match to date.

Sexton is now off for Jack Carty.

Sexton had a good second half.

    Henderson is a beast

As much as I dislike Munster, I'd definitely start Kilcoyne against Scotland.

    *Sexy did nothing today IMO

You’re right. Coaches don’t choose players on form. Devin Toner was getting game time to improve his legs for the World Cup.

Anyway this is a discussion board where we will obviously discuss how players play.

He was much better in the second half, was out Johnny.
