Electric heating - options?

My house is a super warm build and has 3 Dimplex CXLN storage heaters downstairs.

These are now pretty old (early 1990's) and I'm sure are very inefficient. They have individual thermostats incidentally. I use them to keep a baseline 15 degrees and never use the boosters. Heat is topped up with a solid fuel stove. The house is warm but the bills in the winter are high.

I'm looking at upgrading and wondering what's the best option?

Ideally electric underfloor heating would be good, but the floors would have to all come up.

I'm reading about efficient non storage type heaters, and even infra red units.

Budget isn't unlimited so any advice is welcome.

Most people don't like storage heaters as it is very difficult to control the heat output from them. On-demand electric heaters would be an improvement from that point of view but will still be quite expensive as electricity has a very high unit cost relative to oil or gas. If you're stuck with electricity then have a look at an air to air heat pump. You'll find a few posts on here about them.
