Getting alot of thing after setting up mysql on windows 10. To access my Database ill need root password, but i dont know what it is.
    C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0\bin>mysql -u root -p
    Enter password: ****
ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Videos on youtube show using the my.ini file but that seems to only be from versions around the 5.6 level. Said file does not exist on 8.0

Thoughts on a way to get this and start using it?

    Something about sandwiches

Try without a password. Leave out the -p switch.

If that fails, just reset the root password.
Google how to do it but basically u restart the server in a kind of safe mode with no password and then login and set a new password.
