    Bacon Fries
Like I've said before, bacon fries, the ultimate pub grub. Waffles are a home substitute, much like a can or bottle of beer is nothing like a pint.

    Excellent point

Waffles because they are joint second best crisps ever. Joint second best with bacon fries. But there can be only one

I'm goin Waffles, because iv been known to have a waffle sambo on batch bread when I'm in the horrors.

You'd need to be flutered to concoct such a monstrosity.

I like both but I'll be a bit patriotic and got for Waffles. Bacon Fries can be just slightly too thick, while Waffles are nice and airy. And you won't forget that you've eaten them for a while afterwards. ;)

    Bacon Fries
Tough contest at this stage. As you would expect in the ante penultimate contest.

For me bacon fries sneaks it. Why? I think they taste better that’s why.

Bacon Fries because they’re in a smaller pack, so you can justify having more than one when you’re in the pub.

Rough Tally so far 17-5 in favour of bacon fries

Nothing says irish childhood neglect like a bottle of coke and a pack of bacon fries while shoved away in the corner of a pub while yer auld fella is in skulling pints of Guinness.

Bacon fries are the clear winner here. No finer addition to a pint. (well, apart from a pack of McCoys Flame Grilled Steak).

F'n Waffles:D:D:D Load of aul tennis racket lookin shyte

This is a tough choice but would have to go with Bacon Fries. Mainly because you wouldnt get away with substituting Waffles for bacon on a breakfast fry up but you would if you used bacon fries, people would be more understanding and some would even be praising your nouvelle cuisine. Whereas if you put Waffles on a fry up you'd get beaten up, and rightly so.

btw, these are the only Waffles worthy of the name:

    Sophie's Choice II

Bacon Fries are only consumed when out at the pub, so feel more special. (But only if there's no Scampi Fries)
    But Waffles are Waffles...................................

    Vote: Waffles
Reason: Bacon Fries < Scampi Fries

Waffles for me. I overdosed on Bacon Fries once and it wasn't good. Moderation in everything, folks!

It's the hardest choice yet but it's Waffles for me. I had to ask myself, can the ultimate crisp be so heavily dependent on an accompaniment , and I don't think it can. Bacon Fries and a Pint are a match made in heaven but we need to be clinical at this stage of the competition.

This has also made me question the role of bread.

    Yeah... but...

Eating Waffles without the accompanying Rennies never ends well.

Which ones? What flavour? Vs what? Is this your hot take? After all we've battled through? Sorry you can go and sh*te.

    Ah sorry! :D

Hunky Dory sour cream and onion are wonderful. Their cheese and onion are a close second. Compared to the humble tayto they are streets ahead. HD's are my favourite of all the regular crisps.

Now. Fancy crisps. I like Kettle sea salt and vinegar. I can never choose between O'Donnells and Keoghs but anything onion is good. Its hard to pick a favourite fancy crisp. You know you can get special 'healthy' crisps aswell. Luke's kale and quinoa flavoured. Or something like that.

I have never had Bacon Fries. I never thought I was missing out, but...

I have to vote Waffles because I've never had the other one. Is that sufficient reason for a vote?

I mean Waffles are lovely, but Bacon Fries were just never on my radar

In searching Google for an image to post I saw they had Gluten Free Waffles too.

    Is nothing sacred?
