Hunky Dorys. An excellent cheese and onion crisps. Lidl Okey Dokeys are a good copy btw for the more budget conscious crisp eater.

Agreed, along with think they are called crazy monstors

I'm sorry but the tournament is about crisps. A potato snack. The strict interpretation of the law doesn't allow for the inclusion of corn-based snacks, and there are no amendments or codicils modifying that rule.

Again, I believe that the inclusion of corn-based snacks goes against not only the letter, but also the spirit of the Tournament. I will not be swayed on this opinion.

It takes more than the mere presence of carbohydrate to make a crisp, my good man.

Sorry sugartits but you are talking total tarmac here. Best you head off there to a make up or fashion blogger thread. Might be more your speed.

Anyone who thinks corn-based snacks don't constitute a crisp has a diseased mind.

    Burger Bites

They're a burger in a bite. Many a columnist coos over the advancements that allow us to essentially carry computers in our pockets these days but few acknowledge the technology which allows us to carry burgers around in flimsy plastic bags. Just remember that the next time you read a potted biography in praise of Steve Jobs; Burger Bites got there first.

Early vote tally 15 to 12. Burger bites need to rally and get the vote out

You are not playing within the spirit of the game here, C. You’re bringing outside prejudices and preconceived notices somewhere where they don’t belong.

Omackeral started the tournament and contestants were agreed.

Play game as it is or keep to the sidelines. Your semantic criticisms are neither wanted nor welcomed.

Burger bites get my vote. There are only Buffalo Hunky Dorys, the rest of the range tastes like old tennis balls.

I'm enjoying a pack of the BHDs right now in order to stop myself breaking down again after their defeat.

Burgers Bites, just a nicer taste. Elite tier crisp.

The only time I'll eat the Hunky Dorys is if they're all that's left in a multipack. Don't think I've ever willingly gone into a shop and bought them.

King Pub Crisps- there has never been a better crisp

King and Manhattan Pub Crisps didn’t even make the draw. Shameful lack of oversight.

Manhattan got knocked out in the first round.

    Shameful stuff

You live abroad and you grew up in England.

Crisps are a cultural phenomenon which you clearly don't understand.

Your words have no power here.

Sorry Candie but I think you're too late to row in on what a 'crisp' is at this stage. These issues should've been brought up at the beginning tbh. We are at the 1/4 final stage now for gods sake. With all that has gone on here, the place was turned upside down at one point last night, I thought it was game over.....We need to focus on the remaining crisps, yes crisps! and find our true winner

Hunky Dorys, the second best cheese and onion crisp money can buy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,197 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

Burger bites. Much more interesting. Hunky dories can have a very stake and bland taste when left out in the air as they often are in cafes that serve them on the side of a sambo

Some weird arguments here, but this has to be the worst. "They go stale when left out"? For **** sake. I hate chipsticks because I ate a packet that were 10 years out of date and they were manky.

I don't often agree with Winston Churchill, but he was right when he said "The best argument against democracy is have a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”

And she was nowhere to be seen when the Protestant crisps were in the early rounds...

Hunky Dorys. Far superior to burger bites. Nice consistency, quality flavour and excellent addition to a sandwich.

Just following along here too and you're spot on with the counts. Might need to you tally up a few for me if that's ok?

Hunky Dorys. You just can't beat a lovely fresh packet of Hunky Dorys, whereas the texture of Burger Bites is like plastic no matter how fresh they are.

Manhattan did. They were eliminated at the first hurdle. King Pub Crisps weren't even nominated for the Wildcard Round, only so much I can do. Show some respect.

Burger Bites are lovely, but you couldn't eat more than 1 bag a day.
The Hunky Dory's, you could eat one of the family sharing bags alone in one sitting and still reach for more.

    Hunky Dory's it is.

How on earth is this a bad thing?

What you're really saying here is that Burger Bites maintain their consistency and would be our main source of sustenance in some sort of nuclear fall out scenario and with each packet of Hunky Dorys produced we're essentially sending young men to the grave.

That's because you just age a whole bag of burgers!

How are all these positives being turned into negatives, I'll never know.

Hey Uncharted, are you trying to have that second post as a second vote for Burger Bites? Looks dodgy...
