Winning the mini battle between the Aldi checkout person.

Them scanning items & me packing them away.

Another in the win column for Ted.

Ted, you've cracked it! I have the bags open and ready in the trolley, and try to put the stuff on the belt grouped by category, all fridge stuff together, etc. Sound like a right nerd.

A cute guy messaging me (incessantly - yes a bit much but still :D) telling me I'm beautiful.

I hear it, I like it but I don't necessarily take him for his word. Living and learning. :pac:

I get that all the time too from beautiful women.

I feel so happy after spending time with my friends. They're the best.

Also love my cat. It's nice to have the company, he's so affectionate. He loves people and always wants to cuddle (well when he's not biting me).

Less than 2 weeks until we are back in school. I'm looking forward to seeing my little kiddies! I also really need to get back into a proper routine!

Lots of reasons to be happy at the minute thankfully.

Reading. I read a whole book in less than 24 hours at the weekend. Haven’t done that in aaaaages.

Sitting in a comfy chair or by the sea with a coffee and a book= heaven.

Seeing a gang of kilkenny clad teenages huddled on a doorway off a sidestreet in Ballybough acting like they owned the place!

Just wait til the locals kids wake up and see you on their patch!

Great seeing other groups of Tipp / Cats around the big smoke taking it all in.
    May the best team win!

TH that Galway won the minor - 3 in a row isn't half bad.

Very very happy indeed that I got my rubbish sorting done and then ! Sat in the sun awhile and even a slow berry picking amble along the lane with my usual followers before the deluge currently battering the window started! Nice timing! ;)

2-year-old just waddled into the sitting room with a newspaper in his hand and lifted himself up on to the sofa at the other side of the room, got in his sitting position and opened his newspaper. He is now opposite me reading it, ... the Farmers' Journal!(we were in a relative's house during the week and the front of it had this picture and he wanted to bring it home as he's got obsessed with combine harvesters, tractors and the like in the past 6 months). He's now just after explaining to me what the farmers will do with all that stuff going into the trailer.

Also, the Fleadh in Drogheda yesterday and the day before was out of this world for them. There was a man with a flat hat on him under the medieval St Laurence Gate singing exactly like Christy Moore and all the kids and adults were just in awe of his voice. Best of all were the hundreds of younger kids playing in seisiúin and dancing around the town showing even younger children what they could do. Inspired by this, my little ones even did their own makeshift Irish dancing competition when the 4-year-old found a spare spot on a hill outside St Peter's Church. Not sure if Mick Flatley or Jean Butler would be too impressed with the choreography but it was great fun!

In my supermarket shopping days I rarely even tried... Would push the trolley out to the car, open the back and pack in peace. Added was the need for the bags to weigh apprx equal for carrying them down to the boat.. ah those were the days!

I'm sorting out some school/college stuff for an appeal for back to school stuff for homeless and immigrant children,
a very good thing as there is loads of that kind of stuff all over the house. The memories are flooding back and its forced me back into contact with ppl I've not been in contact for ages.

So far all but one of my ex kids have agreed to let me give their stuff to the appeal.

Seeing a video of my favorite wee man waddling around his kitchen on his toy phone and he shouting mad into it as if he was having an argument with someone :3:3.

Sweet peas make me delightedly happy.. Pure white this year and I picked just three stems earlier. They are perfuming the bedroom with the essence of summer. mmmmmm.. delicious.

So much beauty and perfume from just three flowers...

It was the best year we've had in 11 years, same with the shrubs and all the other plants and trees.

I don't know meself, I feel like Monty Don every time I drive in or out of the house.
