Fridge stopped making noise

My Nana’s fridge freezer has been building up a lot of ice in the ceiling of the freezer and in the fridge section ice is gathering at the back on the top shelves and anything at the back of the bottom shelves gets wet.

I defrosted it yesterday and ice gathered again fairly quickly but the water problem is gone.

I probably should have left it alone but about 20 minutes ago I adjusted the temperature to see if that would stop the ice and all the noise from the fridge stopped.

I did the self test from the manual and it didn’t give the warning flash but the noise cane on very briefly.

Is this normal after a temperature change or have I broken it?

It is a Bosch Classixx KGV33UW20G

    Cheers
