    Matip absolutely deserves to keep his starting spot based on his performances but I'm not even slightly upset at Gomez playing, our defence was great all last year but we had only conceded 3 goals in Gomez' 12 games before getting injured.

    Klopp was just asked about lack of transfers by Gary Neville in the pre-game interview (its free on Sky one for those without subs). He said they were looking for one or two people, they spoke to players, agents and clubs but that it didnt work out for various reasons and he is fine with that. He emphasised getting the right players over no players at all. Thats it put to bed for me now.

    Can't wait for every "VAR has made a mess of that one" comment whenever the ref makes a bad call after checking the replay, as if it's the camera's fault and not still the ref's.

    Matip is great, but Gomez and VVD started together at start of last season and were unbreakable, no one got a sniff. Our defensive record wasn't as good once he got injured.

    Was just thinking how happy I am this is the only time I'll have to listen to Tyler. Still great to have the football back. There's loads of words I've had no use for the past two months like agenda and narrative.
    A real weekend defining game coming up.
