Have a mid 2012 MBP, that has 4gb of ram currently, and i want to give it an extra boost, so looking at upping the ram a bit.

Apples official site says that max ram is 8gb, but everywhere else i read says 16gb is the max?

Anyone here done the upgrade and offer any advice as to the max ram i can install on it?

Yes, I’ve done it. 16GB of Kingston ram in a 2012 MBP. Perfect.
