Cut grass. Earthy. Always reminds me of my childhood when so much had to do with playing football until all hours. Beautiful smell.

The smell of a nice fry up. Especially when you're starving.

New car smell or strong coffee

I must be the only person who hates freshly cut grass, honestly it makes me retch

When you're frying garlic, no better smell.

The smell of a new book is a close second.

+1 for this, in fact when I was a kid my life's ambition was to be a petrol pump attendant. Didn't quite work out that way:rolleyes:

Funnily, I don't like that new car smell, at all.
On the rare occasion I've had my car valeted, I've had to warn them not to use "new car" perfume.

I can't abide fire lighters. Trying to break them while in their packets has me cursing. They never break off properly.

No No No. Even those are trying!!!

Too much effort. In fact what I do is I get the packet of Zip or whatever. I break them all up. Put them in a biscuit tin and the job is done. Wash my hands. I feel better after that knowing I'm not going to struggle and curse and get in a temper every time I want to put on a fire.
