    I assume he means a named captain that we don't see. Otherwise the captains of the Enterprise E (post Picard)/F/G/H/I would also count.

    Never appears on screen and is only mentioned in one line of dialogue

    Im not around tmrw so if no answer I'll pop it up here and Someone else can take a bash.

    Arguably true but this one was mentioned on-screen by name, at least. Don't think the Enterprise J captain was ever referred to, except maybe in Star Trek: Online.
