    Quick question around Jury Service.

My wife just got a letter in around Jury service:
What are reasonable reason for not being able to do it?

I work in Dublin during the week.
    1. My wife looks after the kids while I work away during the week.

    2. Donegal is a large county the court house is 70km from our home and my wife does not drive.

I am not sure what the expectation is here?

She just needs to send a letter to the County Registrar stating that she is a stay at home parent and she has no alternative childcare. That will be sufficient for her to be excused.

Yeah, Just write a letter and explain and it will get excused no problems on that basis.

    Yeah phoned the office.

They just said to fill it in and send it back with those reasons.
It was addressed wrong also, it was addressed to her parents house so we only got it today when it was sent on June 17th.

    Thanks

Which means that's where she's registered to vote. You need to get that corrected. The people in the Circuit Court office can't fix it so don't bother mentioning it when you reply to the jury summons. Drop an e-mail to the co. co., ask them to send you a voter registration form.
