Mayo are almost 2/1 to beat Kerry at the weekend (15/8 on paddy power online).
Confidence is high now after that performance and we have a good record in Killarney, it's surely a more 50/50 game so value in backing Mayo.

Mayo Dublin Final 7/1... (we can live in hope)

Those 15 minutes in the third quarter where we look like we can't actually get out of our own half? Does anybody know whats going on there? Visually I thought we looked out on our feet but the same thing happened against Armagh which is worrying. When Zippy took that ball & came back into the square with it I thought all my worst nightmares were coming through. How he managed to get up with the ball & exit I will never know!

It was clearly something they tried to address after Armagh as all the defenders huddled in the middle then made a burst for the kick-out's after that period. Fortunately we weathered the storm & got up the pitch and kicked a couple of scores. Treacy covers the ground well but was caught badly for 2 turnovers, needs to tighten up on that especially coming off the bench.

    Good record in Killarney ?

    At what ?

    Mayo have never played there.

Kerry have not lost a championship match in Killarney since the mid 90s.

Yeah Mayo beat Kerry in Killarney in the 2015 league, Kerry were back a week from their team holiday.

Is this expected to be a total sell out?

I think its going to be a great game, it always is between Kerry and Mayo in recent years. Some epic battles and both teams playing the game the right way.

I wouldn't write off Kerry, but their defence has a couple of issues. Peter Crowley is a huge loss for them. Going to be some good battles, AOS v Moran at midfield, and whoever picks up Clifford will have a job on their hands. Keep Clifford relatively quiet and Mayo have a chance.

A draw would not be a suprising result .......

As they showed against Monaghan last year even when they play extremely poorly they have enough talent up front to hang in there at all times. I can't really remember the last time they were well beaten in a match

Funnily enough I'm fairly relaxed about this one. I honestly think regardless of what happens I can see us getting a result if needed against Donegal. Knockout football is our forte

Looking at accommodation for Killarney for the Saturday night (not getting ahead of ourselves, how could you anyway with our injury list - can always cancel), it's very expensive at the moment.

Tralee might be the better option, they had a welcome for us there in March and would gladly stay there again.

Ended up getting a place in Killarney for a reasonable price on the Saturday night. Had a sneaky suspicion we'd be there ;)

Anyone else doing an over nighter? Long spin down and up the same day.

In our last 4 visits to Kerry, we have gone Draw, Win, Win, Win.... I think that constitutes a fairly decent record

I was thinking the same. Horan was very optimistic about Diarmuid playing in the super 8s. Might see him on Sunday.

Wow, would be great, when or where did he say this?

League games usually played in Tralee though, not Killarney

Big job, such a dangerous player, looks dangerous every time he gets on the ball in the league final, Harrison done excellent job on him though that day,

btw did anyone manage to get into the open stand in Limerick with a season ticket? I was with mates and was refused at the turnstile, was told to go some blond women nearby who would scan it for me, needless to say there was no one with any scanners so went to the Mackey Stand anyway. No big issue but just wondering what the crack was?

I got in but couldn't get the ticket scanned.

I actually think obrien is the guy that we could struggle with. We dont really have anyone that suits him. He is in good form and is capable of hurting us, potentially off scraps from a few high balls. Id stick keegan on him and be done with it, release higgins up the pitch.
Their defence leaks goal chances though - even more than ours does - and with the good form of our inside line, id say they will be worried. Will they go with a sweeper is the question? I kinda hope they do as it suits us with what boyle is doing in that role.
I could see them sticking murphy on mcloughlin at 11, which would be a real interesting battle.
I think it is going to be a great game

Obrein was very dangerous in league final, one of their best players atm

O'Brien caused us the most bother in the league final, I felt. I think Harrison will have his hands full with Clifford as well though, assuming he goes on him.

Completely agree. O'Brien is far from the most talented of their forwards but I think he's the most dangerous. Putting Keegan on him early into the second half was on of the key points in the winning of the game for us in the League Final imo.

I wonder will game 4 in 4 weeks begin to hurt them or play to their advantage?

There is definitely more questions around Kerry then may o
