Hello, I'm about to have my braces off. I've still got gaps on either side of my 2 front teeth. The braces can't close them. My Orthodentist wants me to get bonding done on them to close the gaps. Then he will give me a retainer to wear at night. He says the bonding alone on the 2 side teeth will stop my middle teeth gap…

Hello,

Then he will give me a retainer to wear at night. He says the bonding alone on the 2 side teeth will stop my middle teeth gap from opening and moving, but a dentist told me he didn't think it will. My Orthodentist can't fit a permanent retainer across the back of the teeth on top of the bonding. If anyone has any specialised knowledge feel free to pm me. Thanks

Of course they can, your Orthodontist....Only crowns would prevent this, and sometimes even then it doesnt.
