    Deskside feeling disheartened

I'd a terrible nights sleep last night, Kitler (my cat) was in a playful mood all night and wouldn't leave me alone.

Heading to the beach with Richo in a minute, I'll try get a photo :D

Is he the same cat that you took a pic of a few weeks back when you were outside eating?

Let me introduce Kitler to the thread

    483557.jpg

Presently getting some heart checks done.. I was out on a run on Saturday and got really bad palpitations, a very short black out and felt like vomiting so here I am :D

So far advised no intense training until after my next tests, I'm away next week so they'll be done in two weeks.

I'm feeling fit as a fiddle so I'm not worried.

Plans for today, an 8km run (slow paced) and read, going to do lots and lots of reading. I'll take my Kindle to the beach and just chill 'da fvck out (after I run).

    So anyway, Kitler <3

    Cute Kitty alert!

Have spent the last four days hemmoraging money after a wedding and four days celebrations. Woke up this morning to my insurance renewal letter with a quote that has sent the heart crossways in me. As Miley would say well holy god. But first I need to make appointment with alcoholics anon

Edit: posted in wrong thread and never said where I was but I am currently hanging out my arse

Keep going Seph - I know now that good things can happen when you least expect them.

Done gardening for the day, Went fishing this morning and now thinking about dinner. A nice steak, but I've to go out again and get potatoes, peas and courgette from the garden.

Were they jumping on ya :D ? Are they the same cat that you took a pic of a few weeks back when you were outside eating?

Oh, I didn't remember that.. So yes, same cat.

She's the boss, she knows it and my two dogs know it too (if they ever forget she reminds them quick enough!).

Re the checks earlier, I'm really not too concerned but since turning 50 I've little medical concerns cropping up which I no longer ignore.

I'm generally very fit and healthy.

Just had a lovely power nap with Richo, a light sandwich and I'll go for a run around 7 followed by some TRX

Ended up with a bunch of steroid and anaesthetic injections today. There might be some decent sleep ahead in the next few days..

I'm sitting on a bench in Thomas Street, waiting to go into Vicar Street. I'm not drinking alcohol at the moment so no pre-gig drinks for me! (Stereolab are playing...in case you were wondering.)

Stretched out in my hammock I made, in the sundress I made, drinking the lemonade I made, reading ''Frieda; the original Lady Chatterly'' and enjoying the possibilities opening up to me and the whirlwind of life and the exciting people in it. Lovely evening with precious friends .

This time last week life was a narrow corridor and now it's a wildflower meadow. And now I choose my paths through it.

Imo the person who does the most in the house/for the kids etc is the easy target for the bad books, at this stage I just let it go and I'm starting to just put myself first, ignore it all if you can, don't react and carry on as normal, not easy but worth it.

I'm not long home from work and off tomorrow so I'm chilling out with my "refreshments" of choice and a child free house atm, bliss.

Totally agree Duvet , sometimes you'd feel like saying stop using me as the battering post , and good on you for starting to put yourself first , it's hard to change :)

Enjoy the peace and refreshments :D

Gonna put myself first very soon. It will be a culture shock! Don't care. Had enough.

Not sure where that evening went to. Caught up on some paper work and correspondence, sat down to peruse Boards and now realise it's near time to hit the hay. Ah well, tomorrow's another day.

I'm on the bus after the gig...and I'm extremely thirsty and dehydrated. Every shop I came to had just shut up. At least I caught the (last) bus so I probably won't collapse in a heap.

I’m after climbing into bed, after a long and productive day. We’re near a very exciting chapter and I’ll burst with happiness once it’s signed sealed and delivered. I’m up for training in the morning, need to be up for 4:30 leaving by 5:20. Excited, happy and at peace.
