    What made AH great was the ability to have serious and joke threads in the same forum. When a poster needed serious advice, AH rallied and helped as best they could, when there was a joke thread, the pîss was taken. Serious and fun worked, maybe that's changed.

    Anyway, best of luck with the new forum, I can't see both staying active long term though.

    Not really. There are quite a few potential topics that aren't 'Bump this thread until 2070', but also aren't 'I hate unemployed transgender Muslims'.

    I think it's a brilliant idea and hopefully it'll cleanse AH of all the overly serious bores who've infested the place in recent years.
