I would like to know the word count of my document excluding the pages of bibliography.

I could copy the document, delete the bibliography from the new document and see what's left.

But, is there an easier way?

    Thanks.

    D.

    1. Save document.
    2. Select text you don't want to count. This already show count of selected out of total. If not good on mats...

    3. Ctrl+X (this will cut selected text), take note of word count.
    4. Ctrl+Z (this will "undo" last step)
