there's 2 pubs down in graig that are fairly cool for pints, pool, music an just chilling during the day as opposed to goin on a mad one on thursday nights. "the barge" and "the loft", esp the latter. you'll see the barge just as you walk down in that direction from carlow town, it's on the right beside a little shop. keep walking further for the loft which is just before the bridge on the right hand side upstairs behind the castle (it has a sorta beer garden, tis kul!) and my directions are only fantabulous!!!

lol The Barge, Jasus, dont send the poor guy to the Barge ..... he will be murdered in there. Every knacker in the town goes there, dog rough. the Loft is cool though, great Jukebox. Other than that 'Scraggs' ,'Tullys' ,'O' Loughlains' (back bar)

Walking into scraggs on a busy night can be daunting, but the craic can be mighty, esp during rag week. Maybe there will be more room when they do it up but if you have a week bladder or are in any way afraid of crowds, steer clear.
