    SlaneAccess.jpg

It's a long time since I've been to slane. I'm coming on a bus from Drogheda, so that goes to the pink carpark? (or is it blue because that says bus park?)

I've to go to the ticketmaster beside the red taxi drop off point for the snake pit passes, and then back to the blue entrance for my actual tickets.

would that be a ~one hour round trip walking?

I'm apprehensive that a 4:30 bus is cutting it tight for this, does anyone have any pointers?

    What's the bar situation inside?

From Drogheda on the bus I would allow an hour (but it should be quicker, its only 8 miles or so) and then from the pink car park approx 35-45 mins walk. You'd be in the site for about 6-6.30pm

If leaving it later than 5pm then better to go to the taxi rank in Drogheda and try to share with others going via taxi.

Just in looks like they only sell beer no cider at bars. Only Heineken too. There is a cocktail bar with long queues and a prosecco bar

I met two tourists in Dublin (about 3.30pm) looking to get to Metallica, I had a quick look up but I don't see a way for them to get there. Train to drogehda and taxi? Taxi all the way? Getting back would be a nightmare. Any other services from Dublin? Looks like Marathon and Dublin Bus are sold out.

train to drogheda then taxi to Slane, though they need to leave quick. Should get there before they come on stage at 8pm. Getting back a Dublin Bus inspector should sell them a ticket, they wont be left on the side of the road
