We are heading up tomorrow. But my sister cant come up till saturday.
Im sure previously we have gotten to camping grounds/parking after 12pm..im really worried she wont be able to get in now as she cant be in slane by 8am. Just hoping thats just the organisers being extreme in their advice.

Looks like the Slane Farm Camping tickets are sold out now, I've a spare one if anyone is looking.

Hi. We’d be interested in the camping pas if it’s still available. Thanks 👍

What are these stories about not being allowed cans/naggins on bus? Fake news again?

Depends on the bus you are travelling on. I'm not sure it should come as a surprise buses under a nationwide company banners are likely to not welcome cans and naggins on board :pac:

The bus we had up from cork last year even had the loo padlocked.
Most Bus companies have had enough of drunk fools causing damage so put a ban on drinking.
Though the ban on the toilet was a bit much

Anyone booked with these guys for car park?
    http://castleparkslane.com/saturday.html

I used them for parking when Foo Fighters played Slane. Dead handy spot, less than 5 minute walk into the grounds. Be warned though, it's highly likely you'll be stuck in the car park for well over an hour after the gig. We were right up by the exit when they were playing the last song and legged it back to the car. They were letting cars out as we entered the field but by the time we got moving, they had stopped everyone driving out till the road was free from pedestrians heading for buses etc.

Do you know (or anyone!) if there is the same kind of wait to exit the Pink Carpark?

Is there anyone staying in the Slane Farm Camping but only travelling up on Saturday? Their website and the garda website both state that road access to Slane will be closed from 10am Saturday morning.

Does anyone know is it still possible to access the farm camp grounds after this time once you have proof of purchase etc?

They explicitly told me that there is no access to their campsite after 8am. Regardless of road situation.

    Which campsite are you in?

From what I’ve been told - no access to Slane farm after 8am, unless she parks up elsewhere and walks in.

Slane park access should be fine. I drove in there mid afternoon in 2017 no prob

Yes, and they're doubling down on this in their latest FB posts. We will be there tomorrow night!

Dublin bus was grand last year for GNR. The driver even stopped when we hit heavy traffic and let a load of us off for a piss.
I'll be bringing a few cans with me anyway.

Dublin Bus tickets are box office collection. Do they have to be collected or is it use your credit card as the ticket type thing?

Sorry, no idea as I've never used that car park. Looking at the parking site and bus locations you might be OK at the pink car park as I don't see any mention of a bus park along that road. We had to wait till people walked up to the buses and cleared off before we were let go.
