Just watched the post match analysis from BT there.

Inject Hoddle's tears into my veins.

Yeah, i'd say they were really regretting having him on.. the immediate aftermath of a european cup final, and he was just sucking all the life and joy out of the room. Lineker doing his best to keep things upbeat, but Hoddle just kept overpowering him with pure misery.

Nice one, didn't realise it was on that late in the year, jesus December is busy enough without that being on, I remember the Sao Paolo game well, how we didn't batter them I'll never know, we should have scored7/8 that day

Personally I'd like to see Liverpool boycott the event but it'll never happen of course. If national FA's send their teams that's one thing but I don't see why Liverpool fc and supporters need to test their stadiums for them.

Be even nicer to not play in it. Ridiculous tournament that I'm sure the club would skip if given the opportunity.

It's funny how its perceived... European clubs don't care too much, but it's massive for the south american clubs, up there with the Libertadores itself.

I quite like it to be honest, it's about the only time you get a top european club facing off against a top south american club. And you only get into it by literally being the best. I've a feeling that in time it'll be more important from a European point of view, so would be lovely to get one in the bag after the disappointment last time.

About 1200 builders killed in workplace accidents in run up to World Cup. And that's just their building Health & Safety record, leaving out all the other God-fearing bullsh1t going on. If they didn't have oil we'd never have heard of them and would be league winners this season!

We get a bye into the semi's, a bloody 3rd place off they have as well!
Remember how busy last December was and that was after an early league cup exit.
Looking at rhis season it would probably just been the Wolves away that got called off.
Either way not a good time with Christmas period coming.

It’s two matches exactly, whatever happens in the tournament. Not ideal at that time of year but it’s the sort of thing you can plan for immediately and be prepared. Bring a mixture of first teamers and kids over and leave some key players at home, the likes of VVD, Robbo, Alisson and Trent who we don’t have quality cover for (we do for Virgil but anyone is a massive step down from him) so they can stay fresh for the second half of the season.

It’s a lovely problem to have lads, hope we win it too. :)

I'm not being too OTT - with drink involved , even a bump could have ended in tears. Amazing how low cut on uppper deck .

Klopp almost went - somebody said it woud be great to drive bus - nghtmare any slam on and you lose the CL winning manager (lol)

As someone said kind of refreshing in the world of Health and Safety.

Bet - next time a bar on top. As in a safety bar.
Wonder was there a jax downstairs.

Just back from Liverpool a few hours ago. Stayed in the Adelpi with 3 other 40 somthings. We decided before the Barca game to take a chance and book travel and hotels in Liverpool thinking it could be our last chance to witness Saturday and Sunday as “young lads”.

Great craic for sure and met loads of people from Liverpool and loads of “Plastic Liverpudlians” like us in particular some gents from Denmark.

Only catching up with all the post match stuff now. Jurgans post match presser is brillan.

    Allez allez allez

Did you get a bad vibe from any of the locals ?

Probably not, but I have seen it and talked to some that they are a bit sick of the fly by fans.

The city claimed back their team on the streets yesterday.

As much as I love the pool. I will be boycotting that tournament and the international one as well. Disgusting what is happening over there.

Nope not a fear of it, pure jubulism on both days. Liverpool has very strong Irish historical links though and it still rings through
