    Hi there,

I seem to have an oil leak on my VW Passat 2012 1.6 TDi. I bought it about a month and a week ago and only today I noticed it seems to be leeking from this area of the underside. Please see the attached photos.

I have a 3 month warranty for engine and clutch from the garage.

The first photo is when I initially stopped the car and waited 5 mins, the second photo is maybe 15 mins after I took the first photo.

    Thanks,

    Andy

That's very far back for an oil leak, are you sure it's actually oil.

Looks like air con condensate? Dip a piece of tissue in it and see is it clear.

Is the oil level going down?

    Hey,

You're right! The tissue was clear no black and the water was cold. Ignore my stupidity it's a new car for myself (and my first car) and I am afraid of things going wrong with it.

    Thanks,

    Andy
