BMW upgrade

I looked about the forum & couldn't see anything regarding the following :
Any advice would be great.

I've a bmw 520 e61 LCI ,the old ccc with no satnav or bluetooth.
I could upgrade to cic professional for about 1k including fitting . Really wasn't planning on spending that kind of money.I will if i have to .

Do i have other options. I see android or windows units about . Are they any good & work ok in the bmw?

Would anyone recommend a place to pick one up ?
or could i just stick with a cic unit ?

With a car of that age I would not be spending that money for the CIC upgrade. The likes of the below in my opinion are more cost effective and have more features, but as with all of these Android head units the quality can differ between them.
