What to use on this mouldy soft top roof?

    Girlfriend picked up a cheap Mini convertible for the summer that was parked up for a few months and as a result has mould stains on the inside of the car on the soft top roof and also a green algae substance around the seams on the outside of the roof. What should I use to tackle it?

    Heres a pic of the mould on the inside. It's just that one section of the roof, the rest is clean. Cheers.

    vinegar or bleach to kil it, test on a small inconspicuous part first
    (bleech may stain be careful, vinegar stinks and needs a good bit of airing also

    First of all use a respiratory mask when cleaning......tight spaces, mould spores and lungs aren't a good combo. Firstly vacuum the area to remove as much of the lose mould growth without dispersing it too much(you can pick up a small wet & dry vacuum in Homebase/Lidl, etc for around €50 and is always handier to have for vacuuming the car as oppose to a household vacuum). Then use a bio enzyme cleaning product (Autopia Bio Blue can be got on Autopia.ie, or there is similar products online) and a scrub with a medium hardness nail brush or similar. Then vacuum up the result. Repeat process on exterior of canopy. Let air dry for a few days and inspect to see if there is any re-growth. If there is ....repeat the process in that area.
