Hi everyone was thinking of buying a 2014/2015 transit custom would be used mostly as a car carrying light tools for work just wondering are they light on diesel or are they dogs on diesel I domt necessarily need a van that size but I like the nice drive height and how they drive very smooth . Just wondering are they terrible on diesel or are they light what is people getting out of them mpg. I would prefer the custom as the connect is very small also in the inside

currently driving a 151 transit connect for work, round about 760km to a tank and I drive it harsh enough. No power what so ever in in, something like 75bhp which is fine for 1st and second gear after that it is dead.
Comfy enough wee van, driving it since november and have put 9000km on it with no issues. We have a few customs at work and have drove one in the past, good van though the alternator went in a 142 one there last month. Not sure on the diesel end of things as I only had one 2 years ago for a week and can't remember, but loved driving it.

Have a 141 Custom. 80k miles on clock and crankshaft pulley went on it, find it heavy on diesel also, about 31mpg
Wish I had gone for a 1.5 connect
