Audi/BMW for 3k?

Hi guys, have to buy a new car. Have around 3k or 4k to spend. Would love an Audi or BMW but for the type of money i have to spend im not sure if its a good idea. Would you buy a 10yr old BMW or Audi for that money or would it be nothing but expensive problems? Should I just be sensible and settle for a civic? Thanks for…
