Car seats sticky and stain clothes

Hi guys, first time posting here, but the title says it all.

The seat in my jaguar xe is sticky in parts and staining my clothes black. I have tried cleaning it with leather cleaner, and the cloth came away black... I suppose the leather is not sealed any more perhaps? Does anyone have any idea on what to do to stop this, as it keeps destroying my clothes.

    Many thanks!

For now get a towel to cover it, or a cheap set of seat cover from Aldi/motor factors.

Is there professional valeters locally? Get a valet and tell them to pay extra attention to the seats.

What colour are the seats supposed to be?

What seems to have happened is that the protective layer on top of the leather has broken down. Where you used the cloth and it came away black, has this section faded?

If I were you I would be going back to where I bought the car and asking questions. Failing that, a light clean followed by application of Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard is the best course of action as opposed to using a towel or covers to cover it up.
