If there's word of a 'coup' going around, it definitely isn't going to be a successful one.

Not so sure about that, there were plenty of rumours flying about one coming up a few years ago but they didn't know it was happening in Kilbeggan until it was too late.

There was a poster a good few weeks back looking for PM's of punters interested in helping to get on Horses. From memory that was punting on track though.

If there is a coup or a cuop going on it is unlikely to be talked about until after. They will want the best prices they can get.

Either way I have heard nothing. But they're happening all the time. I would be looking out for any aggressive price drops on horses that haven't even been placed in two years. Also they are going to happen in the crapest races available. So when sniffing around look for horses running in class 6 and 5 claimers which haven't done a thing in two years.

Or back Whiskey Sour in the Chester Cup:eek::eek:

Crikey, that really hasn't a hope. I said two years not five. Big Gamble all the same. In to 7/2. Listed in the paper at 14/1. It's a certainty get on.

IMHO and it is backed up by being an avid racing fan the best gambles landed regular are the smaller IRISH yards attacking handicaps in the UK.JJ feane and co etc .I could name alot and the results are there .They do it regular and if one wants to follow them one can know in advance through this link . The reason I came up with is our handicaps are much harder to win .

I think the last race at Thirsk is a piss take ? I assumed it was.

Absolutely. Done my conkers, but again there will be no coup if lads on here know about it. It's generally not the way successful coups are brought off.

As for Faheys in last at Thirsk. It's thrown in off a mark of 60 and would win hard held if wanted and the way the price is being held up on BF I would say it's a certainty it goes off far shorter.

Eh yeah you nailed him there, wouldn’t listen to a word out of his mouth now. Probably doesn’t even know ruby’s star sign either.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

I have no idea who the OP was on about I just had a wild guess that it could be Faheys in the last at Thirsk

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Andrew00

As Tipptom said though they'll probably lay Canford Art before the off as per usual with Faheys yard
