Audi A3 turbocharger question.

    Hi folks, my Audi A3, 2008, 2.0 tdi, bkd engine code, has good bit of mileage on, near 300 k kms (thats approx 200k miles). Turbo is wining, and on load have some loss off power, kind of turbo lag ocasionally. At this kind of mileage i think turbo is worn, and before start badly leak oil, needs to be replaced.

    Anyone would advice what options i have?

    I do think get recondioned turbocharger, or get my own repaired.

    Anyone would recommend company?

    Dublin or nearby preffered.

    Intermittently kicking in could be Mass Airflow Meter.

    Get a diagnostic plugged in

    Yes, it had check engine warning light on couple times, which reffered to airflow meter, but it went off after cleared couple times. At the time i was doing some work on car, and thought it was because of that.

    By the way, still looking for good turbocharger reconditioner. Once mate had bad experience with one, second one was very good, unfortunately cannot track down both companies, good few years gone.
