I didnt get a chance to check my emails until last night and I seen one from Zavvi that was sent after 10 in the morning which said "Congratulations, you're our Mastercard Competition WINNER!" . The prize was a trip for 2 to the Champions League final in Madrid with flights, hotel, tickets, transfers etc included and I was invited to contact them within 48 hours. I was a little suspicious of it and there was a link to the T&C's for the competition which I followed only to discover that it was for residents of mainland UK only. Northern Ireland was even excluded. I dont even recall entering the competition but thats not to say I didnt as there's quite a few similar competitions doing the rounds.
So while still thinking about how I could get around this obstacle I was reading through another few emails only to find another sent by Zavvi about 7 hours later which stated this ...
Its pretty pathetic the levels the bastards will stoop to just to get a 15% off code to a customerYou might have received an email from us this morning congratulating you on winning tickets to The UEFA Champions League Final.

Question RE family comps
re comps for hotel prizes for 2 adults with children?
I tend not to enter these comps, as I have no children
1. If I did enter and win, would the hotel be annoyed or surprised if we had no children with us?
2 Is it wrong to enter these comps with no kids, or does it matter?
3 My conscience tells me I am take the prize off a family who could use it more

I won a family break (2 adults & 2 kids in a family room) earlier this year and emailed the hotel to say that only two of us would be turning up and they were absolutely fine about it. We had a really nice double room so the family room could go to someone else, if needs be.
I only enter if it's for B&B for a family - our kids are teenagers so we always leave them behind anyway (they'd rather die than go on a hotel break with us especially if it's a family room - ewwww! lols).
I never enter if it's specifically set out for kids e.g. tickets to a theme park or zoo etc. We wouldn't be able to avail of that, and it's not fair to take that away from someone who could use that, I feel. Just my two cents anyway. 0 -

I enter almost everything!
Dont have kids myself but have loads of nieces and nephews of all ages so I enter with different families in mind....I won a theme park type one and gave it to my brother before, was delighted! 0 -

I won a night away in Dublin plus tickets to the panto. Couldn't get any takers to go with us and hotel didn't mind at all. They get paid in advance and it is less cleaning for them. It was my first win and we had an amazing time!0 -
