Hi bought a new sorento in February 2018.

Everything fine until first service at 15000 kms in August.
Got it back and fuel economy was all over the place and clutch started acting weird. Was slipping when accelerating fast.

Dropped it back to dealer to check over and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong. Second service in feb 19 at 30k.

Dropped car in and told them clutch still not right. Wife collected car and they said no problems with car. I drove it to Dublin at weekend and still acting up so rang the dealer and complained that they haven’t checked it out properly.

I asked will I just bring it to another dealer that might know more about them. Woman on phone said she’d ring me back so made an appointment for today with area manager. He drove car and after about 100m said the clutch is slipping.

He said he’ll have to check with Kia but will do what he can for me!!! He said he’s never heard of clutch going in Sorrentos so quick!!!

Our Kia Sportage 2018 Clutch slips first thing in the morning, especially cold mornings but after that it is grand. I said it to the dealer who said it was strange behaviour bla bla bla but a quick google and you find numerous occurances of it happening. I asked for it to be registered on the service notes so if it gets worse i can show it was reported.
