Almera timing chain replacement.

A friend has a 2007 Nissan Almera 1.5 petrol. The timing chain needs to be replaced. From reading some posts this seems to be a difficult job. Would anyone on this forum have done this job ? Can it be done with engine in car etc . Any help greatly appreciated .
