Swapping car vehicle registration cert

I’m swapping my car with the garage for a different car. I doubt I’ll be able to locate my owners certificate and wondering if this will pose an issue or can the garage supply a form so we can sign over the ownership?

I traded in recently, had to get a replacement cert from the tax office

Just fill out form you can print off motor tax online.

Then send off with fee then sign over.

Otherwise if it's a reputable garage they will be able to temporarily sign it into them.

The VLC would still need sorting but they can do that.

It’s a main car dealership that I’m doing it with. I’ll have a scout around the house during the week and see if I can locate it. Thanks for the info

Just say it to them tomorrow. They may say ah don't worry or ah here sort it out but worth a shot.

It's like 12€ replacement if I recall and obviously have to get stamped in Garda shop

Dealer gave me the van without it, i just dropped it in to them when it arrived in the post, â‚¬12 is correct
