So ive received my bill of 3 for a speeding offence. Usual 28 days to pay, followed by another 28 at the higher rate.

When do the points get applied? CitizensInformation say 28 days after the date on the notice. However.... theoretically speaking, if i wait until day 56 to pay it, are they applied retroactively. i.e starting on day 28

Usually a couple of weeks after you pay the fine. They cannot be applied prior to this as you have to "plead guilty" 1st by signing the form and paying the penalty.

Edit; just had a look at my last points and they were issued exactly 1 month after I paid the fine. Not sure if that was just a coincidence.
