They've been improving the sea wall along there over the winter it's the last phase of that I think.

Was down there recently, they have done so much work, I hope this doesn't undo it all again.

How can they be so specific about Co.Clare? Seems a bit unusual to single out one county.

Any thoughts on the very strong winds in Wicklow that are forecast in that chart? At 5-6am. Doesn't look right.

Sometimes they don’t seem to load/appear on the mobile devices and then appear on refresh!

Would guesstimate yellow will be extended to remaining counties left out this evening.

This was on the desktop though! I refreshed a few times and it didn't appear. Back now though! Maybe there's just so much traffic on the site

Storm looks quite brief, perhaps a good thing.

The red warning is brief, but the orange is from 4pm to 1am, Clare included

Raining pretty consistently now here in Ballincollig. Strong southwesterly winds, at least judging from the fountain here in Barrack Square, but nothing out of the ordinary so far.

Air pressure at 997.7mb and continuing to fall, temperature 11,7°C, Dew Point 10°C.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Do you have similar stats for Cork for April?

I’ll see when I get home. Looks like that won’t be ‘til a while though.

    Quote from RTE

'Head of Forecasting at Met Éireann, Evelyn Cusack, said winds are expected to gust up to 150km per hour in parts of west Galway and the Aran Islands, and also along exposed parts of the coastline in counties Kerry, Cork and Waterford.

Ms Cusack said the worst of the weather would be 'short-lived', and was not expected to include any river flooding.

But she said there was a risk of 'coastal damage' and said there was a possibility that there could be some coastal flooding and local surface flooding.
