eircom mail sending from Vodafone

    Having issues, using an eircom account and it wont send

    I have my outgoing server in outlook set to mail.vodafone.ie

    This was working all along, but wont work now :(

    anyone got any ideas?

    called Vodafone, they have stopped all mail replay from Mail.vodafone.ie as of last week!!!

    Most likely reason...
    Vodafone announced that they would be shutting down their email relay servers as of November 2018.

    And that people using eircom.net would be impacted, unable to send mail.

    If you have / create a gmail account, you can verify your ownership of the eircom.net account, under Settings / Accounts and Import / Send Mail As and then send using its smtp server.

    smtp.gmail.com Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires TLS: Yes (if available)
    Requires Authentication: Yes

    Port for SSL: 465
    alternatively
    Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
