I have been awareded compensation. It is plus costs. The cheque was initially to be made out to me, but to be sent out to my solicitor, who would forward it. However, then my solicitor said the compensaiton would be transferred electronically to his account, and he would then transfer the compensaiotn to me. I waasn't happy with this, and said I would not sign the agreement unless the agreement stated that the cmopensation was to be paid to me by cheque - am I correct in doing this??

    Doesn't really matter.

The usual way of doing things is that compensation is paid to your solicitor and then forwarded to you.

If you want to be ackward and insist on things being paid directly to you that's upto you.

OP: You've started at least 4 threads looking for this forum to second-guess your own, paid, legal advisors. Thread closed.
