Motor tax

Just a query re motor tax. I thought car would be back on the road at the start of this year, hence I didn't declare it off the road. However, it is only getting back on the road now. Am I liable for motor tax for the first three months of the year no matter what I do, or is there still a way that I can declare it off the road retrospectively for that period?

Sell it to John Swan who lives at a friend's rented address and then fill out the form again for when John Swan sells it back to you.

you don't need to lie, you can just put your partner's or brother's name and genuine signature. Transfer it back when you want to tax it and no arrears
