You said the below...if I took you wrong I apologise...but I thought your comment was pretty clear? What were you implying?

I've met countless gay men who are the complete opposite.
They think nothing of cuddling up-groping if I'm honest-to women they've only just met.
    strange behaviour.. .

Sorry for the misunderstanding. That wasnt me.

It is not normal behaviour and I have also met countless gay men, for background I happen to be one myself and i have been going to gay bars and had a wide circle of gay friends for 20+ years

I think had he been a straight man all the me too feminist crowd would be absolutely disgusted by him but as he’s gay there doesn’t seem to be the same outrage - hopefully there is consistency in how ppl treat him

I see lots of people, mostly men, outraged by him.

I think people of both genders who can't keep their hands to themselves deserve to be disgraced.

It's also unclear if Mr Flamboyant has changed his ways and if it's safe for people to be within arm's reach of him.

Hasn't he more or less admitted publicly he's a bit of an octopus?

Here's the actual line in the statement:

"While my conduct, which had been in keeping with my flamboyant and outrageous public persona may be regarded as offensive and unacceptable by many people, I at no time intended to upset anyone."

And some still think he did nothing wrong

He'll come out with "I'm sorry if anyone was offended". That's the ultimate non apology

Did he not try that one already, at the time this all blew up. Regardless I'm just happy he's not on air anywhere. His comedy is awful imo.

Holy fúck, he actually did. The classic non apology!

    Another line:
"I am truly sorry for any distress I may have caused" :pac:

Translation, I did it, but these peoples are the weirdos that have a problem with it and your all being overly sensitive.

Not an apology in any way shape or form, vile.

The thing is if he actually came out with a full and frank apology he might have had some kind of a career in future, but any chances of that in Ireland are gone IMO.

He is painful to listen to. Hope he stays away.

The one thing I cant understand is the people on here saying "all he has to do is apologize and the public would forgive him, then he would be back on radio, tv etc. Are we that stuck for tv and radio presenters in this country that we need someone who has allegedly carried out numerous sexual assaults on people, one person who was in hospital at the time? crazy stuff.

what I meant was he would have likely been capable of making a comeback if he made a full and honest apology at the time, it doesnt mean I agree that there should be any way back for him (I dont).

You just have to look at other people who did far more extreme things seemingly e.g. Louis CK, he apologised and owned up to the absolutely scummy crap he did and now seems to be attempting a comeback already.

i dont see how such a person could make a comeback. this isnt on the tiger woods level of disgracing himself here.

Attempted a comeback, it doesn't seem like he is being allowed to comeback though. Louis CK masturbated in front of adult women, I reckon Al Porter has a bit more to answer for.

You may be entirely right, to be honest I dont know the ins and outs of Louis Cks cases.

Is he doing any sort of work or gigs?? He seems to have a sense of entitlement as to going back to doing what he wants?

Go out, get a normal job, something less flamboyant and outrageous, and stop narcissisticaly feeling sorry for yourself and playing the victim.

And keep your hands to yourself.

And yes, I know you are reading this

I don't know if it is feasible but there is an unanswered question how does one rehabilitate oneself? There has be some path

I saw him at electric picnic a few years ago and he was riding me with his eyes
I think my copy of the karma sutra needs to be updated, sure there's new stuff coming out all the time.:D

I think that's it. Get a normal job, forget about "showbusiness" because he won't be able to make a comeback in that. No big company like a tv station, radio station or newspaper wants the baggage or negative attention that comes with him.

I'd personally nearly find his comedy worse than the sexual assaults.. like, you could perhaps say he was drunk or whatever when he was feeling whoever up.. there's absolutely no excuse for his comedy.. it's unforgivable..

my daughter went to see him all the time thought he was great, i could'nt see anything funny about him at all, leave him where he is.

Being homosexual gives you a free pass for this kind of stuff. 'Ah sure he's just being flamboyant!'. Yeah so was Jimmy Saville.

Reminds me of an ugly lesbian drunkley harassing every girl in a bar one night. A man doing the same would have been thrown out.
    Sure it does
I can honestly say i have been felt up more often by women in straight bars than I have by gay people in gay bars.

I dont think anyone here is saying he was just being "flamboyant"...his career is over lets be honest so not sure what type of a "free pass" he got for being gay?

With regards that incident maybe you or someone else could have report her and she would have been?

    Deny, Distort, Deflect.

The guy clearly has a personality disorder. He had a niche market, was doing well given the material and through his own sordid actions messed it all up. It's amazing how perpetrators become morphed into victims. I don't buy it.

The disorder stems from him immediately denying those serious charges by playing dumb. Next, after his position was untenable, came the deflection by claiming in his non-apology that due to his flamboyant and "outrageous" public persona groping other men was nothing at all, minimising sexual assault and failing to just come out (pardon the pun) and admit he'd ****ed up royally. Then came the distortion with his predictable manipulation of people's sympathies while he relates how he thought of (but hasn't) committed suicide. That's no joking matter. Now given what he's been through, there is the possibility that he is actually being serious, but reputation precedes itself and given what has gone before, it's no stretch to imagine someone with a narcissistic personality disorder manipulating a topic which no one would dream of mocking or belittling and exploiting such a sensitive topic for attention. It's the perfect cover for him to play the victim.

It's all for the sake of getting back the attention he lost, as pointed out above, through his own actions. If I'm accurate in the above summation, then he has some serious reflecting to do.

He was involved in writing the gaiety Christmas panto so he’s not completely finished with showbiz

Interestingly they didn’t promote his involvement though.

If I was one of his friends I would advise him to give up on acting or stand up comedy and maybe look into writing or something, possibly under a pseudonym. His performing career is pretty much over by the looks of things, it's time he realised that he'll never be a "star."
