Default speed limit - residential housing estate

Quick question:

Short story: Can someone tell me what the default speed limit is for a residential housing estate? is it 50km/h or 30km/h?

Background: housing estate is a new build - still not yet handed over to the council so there are no road signs.

The estate is in Dublin 15 - built up area. I know there were revisions to the 30km/h limits but these only appear to be selected housing estates and would not apply to all.

I gave my driving test recently. There are no speed limit signs in the housing estates around my test centre, so while practising, I used to wonder if the limit on a particular street is 30 or 50, especially when it was straight and clear.
Then I came across this document which I found useful since it lists every street to which the special limit applies -

Dunno if you will find the limits for the streets in the estate you are talking about if it is too new.

Default is 50, only certain areas went to 30. You'd be mad to be driving around most estates at 50 though.
