    Poweramp and media monkey are terrible.

    The overnight Bixby routine means I only lose around 3% of battery when I'm sleeping - I'm quite impressed with that!

    Anyone having trouble with music apps like TuneIn where if you let the screen go dark it just stops after a few seconds? Seems to be happening to every listening app apart from Google Play Music for me.

    Have a look at your battery settings - exclude TuneIn - I had an issue with Spotify, and when I upgraded to Pie, this feature was a tad too aggressive. Once I excluded Spotify, I had no more issues.

    Got an S10 at the weekend, upgrade from S8. I dunno am I after getting a dud unit or what but I'm seriously underwhelmed by it - just curious if anyone else noticed any/all of these :

    Camera : Shockingly bad especially indoors and not in very low light either. Really notice it with people, it's not immediately noticable but zoom in any bit at all and it's very grainy and kind of artifical looking, reminds me of camera phones from about 7 years ago. The s8 was miles better.

    Battery : I typically turn off everything - gps, bluetooth etc and disable apps. Basically it's set the same as I had the s8 which I used to get close on 2 days out of, this is barely making it to 24 hours.

    Screen : Has a tint to it when it's tilted, very noticable on say white web pages - dead on straight it looks ok, tilt the top of the phone back and the whole screen has a kind of blue tint, tilt the top of the phone forward and it tints red. Some forums suggesting it's because of the plastic screen protector that came with it but I have my doubts.

    Finally the fingerprint scanner - I've registered/cleared a few times and it's still only picking it up maybe 1 in 5 attemts.

    I've only seen good things about the s10 generally online so maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad unit, only a couple days old so I guess warranty would sort but somehow suspect it's not going to be as simple as going to a shop, handing in the old and getting a new one. Plus no point if the replacement is gonna be the same.

    So yeah in short - not impressed, anyone else the same?

    I have had an s6, 7,8 and now 10. The camera is amazing and that comes from someone who does photography with pro grade Canon cameras. I've taken some stunning photos with it.

    Battery is more or less on pair with my s8 plus. Maybe a little better.

    The sensor is ****e, I'll give you that. It's very hit and miss for me. I just use face unlock.

    I found the battery a bit underwhelming too until I followed the guide on the previous page, now it's amazing. I'm on course to get about 7-8 hours SOT since I made the changes.

    Have you tried registering the main finger you use (probably the right index) 3 times as 3 different fingers?

    Ok maybe being a bit too fast to judge the battery, I'll do some more tweaking with that. Good suggestion for the fingerprint sensor Cienciano, that seems to have made a big difference alright.


    Photos are still very bad tho - for example

    https://ibb.co/ZRjt972 - cropped this as I'm one of those who don't like putting my kids pics up online but you can see what it's doing - again standard lens, settings as above - not a particularly dark room and it looks like it was saved at such a low res (chin under the dummy is all noise). And it's not due to the cropping - the original/full sized is the exact same

    My S10 keeps on hanging and then switching itself off. Am with 3, think there was an update friday night. Very annoying, anyone else getting this?

    So brought my phone to the 3 store on Grafton St, guy did a Hard Reset first which seemed to make things worse, then tried a Factory reset and now I can't even get it on at all, it just keeps flashing Samsung and I can't power it off.
    They told me because I ordered online I have to get a return code and package online, I'm on 3 chat and they're telling me to drop it into a shop!
    Absolute nightmare and I'm heading abroad tomorrow!

    Sounds about right, the old back and forth...... Go to the Bricks & Mortar store and they tell you they can't do anything from there. Then you contact them online and they tell you the person in the Store should have taken it in!!!

    You need to have your details and return code and ring three (from a friends phone cos yours doesn't work) from inside a 3 shop. When the guy in the call centre tells you to to go to a shop, tell him you're in one. They're not great to deal with when you have a problem.
    Avoid the grafton street store as it's so busy.

    I have no idea what Exertis are playing at with my trade-in. They told me the other day that they received my device yet I woke up to FOUR emails this morning saying that my trade-in pack is being sent out to me..

    I got an email from them last night saying exactly the same thing!!

    There must be a bug in the system!!!

    I recieved seven emails from them. Thought it might be about the buds. All the emails read the same apart from the reference number.

    Anybody know if you can get the Snapdragon version of the S10e here? Supposedly the performance/battery life is much better than exynos.

    Don't know about the 10e, but the 10+ 855 is available from Eglobal Central EU.
    In fact last time I looked the price had dropped somewhat (17% I think) and was the cheapest I'd seen.

    Edit. They sell both chipsets, so it's a matter of finding the right model. Include Snapdragon or 855 in your search text on their website.

    In case anyone is interested, there's an app called Hidey Hole (link) that scours Reddit for all the wallpapers created to hide/make use of the hole punch.

    It's very good actually!

    Anyone know how to guarantee getting a UK plug on eglobal? I see no information and there's too many Samsung s10s to choose from there..over a dozen.

    Yeah by using the adapter included with them. They are all likely to be to 2 pin unless you want to take a trip to Hong Kong and find one yourself from their warehouse.
